Wise referral link: what you get, and what it's worth
Signing up to Wise from someone's invite link gets a new customer a small welcome offer. Here's exactly what it is, who qualifies, how to claim it, and the catches, using Wise's own terms.
Offer wording checked on wise.com on 18 October 2026.
What a new customer gets
Wise's help pages explain how the fee-free transfer works:
- It's a single-use discount applied automatically to your first transfer.
- It removes Wise's fees on up to £500. Normal fees apply on anything over £500.
- It doesn't apply to adding money in the same currency, to Wise card payments, or to VAT, tax and other external costs.
- It expires if you don't use it within 6 months of signing up.
Wise says the offer varies by region: some places get a free transfer only, others a choice between a free transfer and a free card. It's a fee discount, not cash.

Who is eligible
- You need to be new to Wise. Wise's terms allow recently signed-up customers to count, but not people who joined more than 30 days ago.
- You must sign up from the invite link. Wise's terms say the link can't be added more than 30 days after sign-up.
- Transfers must be paid from a card or bank account in your own name.
- The programme is for personal use, isn't available in every country, and Wise can change, restrict or cancel it at any time.

How to claim it
- Open the Wise invite link. You should see the welcome offer at the top of the page.
- Sign up from that page with your email address, then verify your identity as Wise asks.
- Choose the free card or the fee-free transfer, if Wise offers you the choice.
- Make your first transfer within 6 months. The discount is applied automatically, and you'll see it in the quote before you pay.
If you've already signed up without the link, Wise's invite page has an "I signed up but didn't add my link" option. Per the terms, that only works within 30 days of signing up.
The honest bit: what it's worth
Wise's fees are already low on the main UK routes, so a fee-free transfer up to £500 saves a few pounds, not tens. Here's Wise's fee on a £500 transfer, from quotes we took on 18 October 2026:
So don't choose Wise for the referral offer alone. Choose it if its rate and fee suit your transfer. On some routes it isn't the cheapest: our GBP to INR and GBP to PKR guides show providers that delivered more on the day.
Our interest: if you make an international transfer of £200 or more after signing up through our link, Wise may pay this site a referral reward. You pay the same fees either way.
Wise referral link: common questions
Is there a Wise promo code or referral code?
Wise doesn't use codes for this. The offer is attached to a personal invite link: you get it by opening that link and signing up from it.
What do I get from a Wise referral link?
On 18 October 2026 Wise's invite page offered new customers a choice of a free Wise card or a fee-free transfer of up to £500. The offer is set by Wise and can change.
How does the fee-free transfer work?
It's a single-use discount applied automatically to your first transfer. It removes Wise's fee on up to £500; normal fees apply on any amount above that. It doesn't cover same-currency top-ups, Wise card payments, VAT or other external costs, and it expires 6 months after you sign up.
Can I add a referral link after I've signed up?
Wise's referral terms say the link can't be added more than 30 days after sign-up. Wise's invite page has an "I signed up but didn't add my link" option for people within that window.
Is the referral offer worth much?
It's modest. On quotes we took on 18 October 2026, Wise's fee on a £500 transfer was £2.16 to euros, £2.80 to US dollars, £2.86 to rupees and £3.67 to Pakistani rupees, so that's roughly what the fee-free transfer saves.
Does the person whose link I use get anything?
Yes. If you go on to make an international transfer of £200 or more, Wise may pay them a referral reward. This site earns money that way. It doesn't change the fees you pay.
